Fitted in about five minutes.
No tools. No drilling. No cut wires.
Your KALDOV sunshade mounts to the top of the windshield and powers from the car’s existing 12V or OBD-II port. Nothing is glued to the glass, nothing is spliced into the wiring, and it comes off again without a trace.
No tools needed
Reversible — leaves no marks

Watch the full installation
The complete fitting, start to finish, on a Tesla. The same steps apply to every vehicle we make a shade for.
Full installation, about six minutes, with English captions.
The six steps
Park in the shade, switch the engine off, and give yourself five minutes.
Unpack and check the fit
Unroll the shade along the base of the windshield without mounting it yet. The ends should reach both A-pillars with a small gap. If it clearly doesn’t match your glass, stop and email us before going further.
Clean the mounting strip
Wipe the flat top of the dashboard where the unit will sit. Dust under the base is the single most common cause of a shade that sits crooked.
Position the housing
Set the roller along the base of the windshield, centred, with the motor end on the side nearest the power outlet. Press it down evenly along its whole length.
Route the cable
Tuck the cable into the gap between the dashboard and the trim, down the A-pillar side, and out at the footwell. Use the clips supplied. No panel needs to come off.
Plug in the power
Connect to the 12V socket or OBD-II port, whichever your kit uses. Note which way round the plug faces — it only seats one way.
Test the full travel
Run the shade all the way down and all the way up twice. It should stop cleanly at both ends and sit flush against the glass. That’s it — you’re finished.
If something isn’t right
The shade doesn’t move at all
Almost always power. Check the plug is fully seated and the socket is live — in some cars the 12V socket is dead until the ignition is on accessory mode. Try the outlet with another device to confirm.
It stops partway down
Something is catching. Look for the cable pinched under the housing, or a dash cam mount or air freshener in the shade’s path. Clear it and run the full travel again.
There’s a gap at one edge
Lift the housing and re-centre it, then press it down evenly. If a gap remains on one side, send us a photo — that usually means the shade is cut for a different trim of your model, and we’ll sort it out.
It blocks my rearview mirror or camera
It shouldn’t. Our shades are cut around the mirror stalk and camera housing. If yours isn’t, don’t force it — email support@kaldov.com with your year, make and model and a photo.
Can I take it off and refit it in another car?
You can remove it without leaving marks, which is why it’s fine on a leased car. But it will only fit correctly on the windshield it was cut for.
Still stuck after all that?
Send us a photo of the installation and we’ll tell you what to change. We answer within 2 business days.
