Will a KALDOV sunshade fit my car?
Each kit is made for a specific model and year range, listed on the product page. Not sure? Email us your vehicle’s make, model and year before ordering and we’ll confirm the right kit.
My car is not listed. Can you still make one?
Yes, in most cases. If your vehicle is not in our catalog, it only means we have not cut that template yet. Send us your year, make, model and trim on our Custom Fit Request page and we will tell you within 2 business days whether we can build it, and what it would cost. Nothing is charged while we review.
How is the sunshade powered?
It plugs into your vehicle’s OBD port and works with 12–16V vehicle electrical systems, so there’s no need to cut into factory wiring. Some vehicles (including certain Tesla Model 3/Y builds) use a diagnostic connector instead of a standard OBD-II port; contact us before ordering if you’re unsure.
How long does installation take?
Installation is a DIY job using the included rail, support legs, foot pads, cable clips and hardware. Follow the included instructions and check the fit before installing.
Can I drive with the sunshade?
Only when it is fully retracted. The shade is for parked use only — never deploy it while driving. Retracted, the low-profile rail (1.18 in) sits along the base of the windshield.
Does it drain my battery?
The 12W motor only draws meaningful power while the shade is moving. For long-term parking, use the independent power switch to cut power completely.
How much does shipping cost and how long does it take?
Shipping is free to the contiguous United States. Orders are processed in 1–2 business days and delivered in 5–10 business days. See our Shipping Policy.
What is your return policy?
You can return unused, uninstalled items within 30 days of delivery. If an item arrives damaged or defective, or we sent the wrong model, tell us within 48 hours and we’ll replace or refund it at no cost. See our Return & Refund Policy.
Is there a warranty?
Yes. Every KALDOV sunshade includes a 1-year limited warranty covering the motor, electronics and deploy/retract mechanism under normal use.
